Hummers

These little jewels are Ruby-throated hummingbirds that visit our home every year. They arrive around the third week of March, nest and raise their young before leaving for their winter migration at the end of August. This year we bought window feeders that stick right on the glass, we were then really able to monitor their activity and I was able to get some great shots really close up! We have several feeders as well as several plants that provide sweet nectar for their pleasure. By July there are large numbers of male and female hummers, young and old, buzzing around the yard defending their feeding stations. They are especially active during rain showers and bring us hours of entertainment! I hope you enjoy these shots as much as I enjoyed taking them!

September Art Walk

My friend Jihan and I went to the Jacksonville Art Walk. I took this time to photograph her and the city at night. I love the Jacksonville art scene!! It's great to see many artists come together to show their talent and have fun together.
O, and I recommend the Bourbon Bayou Restaurant at the Jacksonville Landing. OUTSTANDING food!!!

St Augustine

Susan and I set out one afternoon (after a huuuge storm) to St. Augustine for a day of pictures. We walked around for about four hours and just filled up our memory cards! We ended up with a bunch of great photos, some did not end up here, but we have a great amount to show. I'm hoping to put a slide show together with our images, which we'll post once that is made. We had a great time and had a great response from those we photographed. An ancient city full of characters, colors, beauties and sounds.

I got caught being a part of a scavenger hunt!

This lil boy wouldn't smile for us at first, then as we stood there he started to ham it up for us!
