Dan and Julia Engaged!!

Wow wow wow!!! My cousin Dan is getting married to Julia (who is like soo awesome!!)
and Susan and I got to take their engagement pictures. Talk about chemistry!!!
They were full of ideas on where they wanted to go, and were troopers doing it in really bad weather. It stormed BIG time and was like 30 below...well not really THAT cold, not in Florida anyway, but it felt like it!! We went all around Five Points, Riverside and Downtown to the Buritto Gallery. We can't WAIT to shoot the wedding guys!! XOXOXO

I see the moon, the moon sees me

I Loooooove full moons, and the lunar eclipse is even more amazing to me!! I ran outside with my camera and attempted to get some good shots. In the past with my lil lenses I've only come up with a tiny white dot in the sky, but I was pretty happy with what I ended up with. :) L & I set up the kids telescope, and just seeing the moon being covered by our shadow was just astounding! The reddish glow, it just blows me away every time I look through it. So, here is a little of what I took. Just too cool!!

Pow-Wow Pt. 1

Back in April 06 on our anniversary, my husband and I took our son to a pow-wow held here in Jax. It was first (that we know of) in Jax, and we weren't expecting a huge turn out. We wanted our son to see learn about his heritage. Both he and the hubs are Native American. Both sides of his family have it. We went to many Pow wow's when we lived in the Mid-west. So by comparison, this one was small. I love going, it's a very spiritual experience, and full of so much culture. If you have never been to one, here is a calendar on North Florida Pow wow's Here
and definitely read the Etiquette
I took these with film, and I have probably several rolls more to develop. That's probably why I went digital, it's easier to get "developed". I still use film, and even print black and white at home, but it's soo much more convenient to take digital. I have a blast every time I go to a pow wow, I highly recommend you experience one!
